Sarajevo Film Festival 2022. Short Film Awards

Hungarian-Romanian short film “Amok” from director Balázs Turai picked up one of the top short film prizes at the Sarajevo Film Festival, which handed out its awards last night.

The film was among ten films presented in the Academy Award® qualifying Competition program – Short Film and won the Heart of Sarajevo for Best Short Film.

The winner receives a candidature for the European Film Academy Best Short Film Award.

The 28th Sarajevo Film Festival ran from August 12-19, during which short films from Europe and the Southeast European region were presented in the aforementioned categories as well as projects from Qatar, Israel and other parts of the world in sidebar programs such as “Short Cuts to Qatar,” “TeenArena Shorts,” “La Cinef Cannes: Winners,” or the “European Film Academy’s Short Film Tour with subsections like “Passaggi d’Autore” and “Zagreb Film Festival – Best of Checkers.”
